A nice cozy Thai restaurant that feels like a authentic spot right out of Phuket. The decorations are nice, but feel a bit cheap for the price of the food. Food is served family style and average at about $18 per plate, but they aren’t so big as to fully serve two people from one plate (other places like TOI have the same price but bigger plates). Food was really delicious and I highly recommend the Pad Kee Mao (tho it’s quite spicy, be warned). I’d say the restaurant would work quite well as a date night or a fun friends night as the food is served family style. Beer is available, but not on the menu for some reason. I’d recc this spot!
Went here for my birthday dinner with friends and it was a good experience overall. I had fun. Parking can be tough - street parking. The food was okay. It was definitely flavorful, it didn’t taste bad and the service was great, the employees were welcoming and patient and the food came out fast. I loved the location of the restaurant, towards the end of sunset strip before it goes into the Beverly Hills area. It’s a trendy and colorful place and has a casual feel to it. I’ve had better pad Thai - this pad Thai tastes pretty average. Which isn’t bad! It definitely tastes right and the chicken on both the pad see ew and pad Thai were great. The sweet potato curry didn’t taste like sweet potato and more like regular potatoes but paired well with rice. The crab wontons were the best - they were super delectable and I liked that it sat on a bed of vegetables. Flavor is heavy in general as is with all Thai food, lots of sauce and heavy seasoning but I guess that’s what makes it good. Wouldn’t go for Thai if you’re health conscious but once a week dining out can be okay. The sweets were sweet and satisfied my sweet tooth and the mangoes were incredibly fresh and sweet. It was good experience overall though! I rated it three stars because I think the food was pretty average and didn’t blow my mind and the price is regular pricing you see at a typical restaurant in LA.
The food and the service was great. I tried the garlic green beans and they are a great sharable dish. The chicken pad Thai and chicken sandwich was a great pick if you like a juicy chicken.
We had incredible food and wine. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere was as vibrant and poppin as the music. And the wine selection is INCREDIBLE—especially if you like natural wines. 10/10 will visit again.
The pork salad and wings were off the chain delicious, along with the spare rib Panama curry.
Interesting place, kinda like a bistro serving pretty decent Thai food.
Food was delicious! Ask for more spiciness for the tom yam gong.
Trendy Thai spot with a couple of locations throughout LA. Came here for an impromptu dinner in a group of 6 and had no reservation but we were able to get seated within 20 minutes at 9pm on a Friday evening. The entire party needs to be present before you get seated. Indoor dining only (no outdoor seating). Metered street parking as well as paid parking lots (we did one that was $20 all night after 5pm that was right by the Roxy. Credit cards accepted.
We had a vegetarian in the group so we got the sweet potato massaman and garlic string beans. The papaya salad does have meat. We got two orders of fried chicken wings for the 5 of us eating meat and it was my favorite dish. You can add meat to the pad Thai but it’s vegetarian as-is (we opted for chicken). We also got an order of shrimp fried rice which was pretty good. Our server was nice and we had a fun time.
I highly recommend the Tom yum Gong, shrimp fried rice, and pork toro. The food is very spicy. Be prepared! However, I don’t think it’s worth coming a second time.
